The Most Treacherous Mountains In The World
If you enjoy extreme activities and have never climbed a mountain then you should consider doing so. The amazing thing is that each mountain presents a unique experience so far from the other. Mountains, most of the time, are known only for their height and scenic beauty. However, some of them offer danger like no other. Even as you set out to conquer these mountains have in mind that the weather as you go high in altitude can be hazardous and the slopes, a cause of concern.
Mount Blanc Massif of the alpine ranges ranks highest as the most dangerous mountain because of rock slides and sleep slopes as you go high in altitude. At one hundred deaths per year, it ranks highest as the most dangerous. This is the highest mortality rate ever recorded.
Mount Annapurna which is located in Nepal has been very hazardous to those who have climbed it. Many climbers died in an effort to reach the highest peak. It 41% death rate makes it the second most dangerous in the world.
Mount K2 in China remains to be the most challenging mountain to climb. It is not a surprise to find very few climbers who have made it to the peak seeing that the mountain has steep climbs, unstable ice pillars and steep slopes that make the climb a hazard. So far only two women have managed to reach the summit within a span of 18 years with the last one having climbed in 2004 which is astonishing seeing that other women have climbed tall mountains like Kilimanjaro . No other woman who tried to climb this mountain, has lived to tell their story.
Nanga Parbat in Pakistan is a dangerous mountain in its right. With an ice ridge that is very steep, it is not a surprise when very few people survive to tell the tale. The first man to ever reach the summit did so in 1953. Kanchenjunga is the is the fifth most dangerous mountain and is found at the border of Nepal and India. Although it is lovely, it is the perfect example of deceiving looks. It’s icy avalanches have been the cause of many lost lives. As the years progress it has not stopped causing deaths.
The next time you get a chance to climb these mountains, follow safety protocol and make sure you are thoroughly prepared for the climb to avoid being another person that has lost their life or has been injured to these treacherous heights when it can be prevented.
